Janie & Ash got married in the exact same spot as where they first met. A little hidden dog park off the beaten path, shaded by a line of pine trees. Those trees became the isle that they walked down, while their closest family and friends gathered in an intimate circle under strings of flowers hung from the low branches. The fact that we stood in the very same spot where the couple first met, made the ceremony that much more inspiring. One couldn’t help think about the throws of fate. How rare and special it is that in all the randomness of life, people find one another.
The couple invited a number of speakers from various parts of their life to participate in the ceremony, and share wisdom. By the end, there was not a dry eye in the house.
After the ceremony, Janie, Ash, and I stayed behind to take some special couples photos under those trees. And then we drove a small ways to a horse farm Janie had always loved, and we took some fun photos there as well.
Afterwards we met at their reception venue, The Dimension Mill, where we enjoyed a beautiful meal cooked by Chef Erika Yochum, and drinks crafted by The Back Door Bar. There were heartwarming speeches, and one of the best mother daughter dances I’ve ever seen featuring a hilarious french pop song from the 90s. We danced the rest of night away.
I was so grateful to get to capture this beautiful day.
